Gingerman v4!!

Gingerman v4 is up!!! Contains overclock/multitouch. Please read the part "BEFORE FLASHING" very carefully :)

  1. I tried installing Gingerman V4 after wiping all data, but it stuck on the boot screen forever, and never booted, until I took out the battery, and reverted back to my original stock ROM backup. The same thing happened with Latest CyanogenMod 7 Nightly. I'm trying to do this on IDEOS U8150, any help would be highly appreciated. :-)

  3. Boss I'll do that but going back to stock rom is not my problem, I can revert back to the stock rom without issues any case, but I'm not able to install custom roms as mentioned in previous post. Thank you.

  7. @prakash i think that maybe Android 2.3 adjust the default sound throughput more louder, so use DSP manager to lower down all eq level for speaker out.

  10. @lalit - i too had sound problems.i changed cpu governor to performance, and now sound works well :)

The reason why mine got rebooted was because it ran out of memory.installed Advanced task killer n now dat problem too solved :)

  11. mysterious can you please tell me what is cpu governor. how to use that for solving sound problem.

  12. @prakash

If yhou download an app from the market called no frills cpu then in side that app there are options for overclocking and the cpu goverenr option will be there. Change that to performance and acording to mysterious it should work

  13. Changing the sound and rebooting fixes the ringer volume for a while, however if I have to mute it later it don't come back unless I reboot. Sure hope it gets fixed in the next update. Everything else I use works without a hitch. Thanks

No it wouldn't take that long - which kernel are you using?

  16. @lalit
    what do you mean?
i just got gingerman V4 of your dropbox server (one of the others was corrupted) and flashed it using clockwork recovery (I think that might be it cos Rom manager wasn't picking it up)
the previous Rom i had installed was Australian stock (i bought the phone from dick smith)
    need anymore info just ask

Could you please do an adb logcat (search on google for more info or post another comment), put it on pastebin and post the link here

  18. phone is in a "half bricked" state, nothing responds, not even the power button. can't do anything, only thing happening is a screen saying "IDEOS"

  19. @lilit and the USB drivers aren't working
should i pull out the battery and try that?

    ReplyDelete
  20. @thomas

Pull out the battery and go back to recovery and flash a working ROM

    ReplyDelete
  21. @lalit tried that but phone keeps on rebooting, its 9:52 in australia so i'm going to leave it for the night and see if that fixes anything

    ReplyDelete
  22. @lalit when i mean rebooting i mean turning on whenever there power avaliable

    ReplyDelete
  23. OK so the two methods you can use to stop it doing that are:
    1. keep the battery out for 15 secs before putting it in
2 as you're putting in the battery hold down the recovery keys

  24. @lilit
Restored to backup from before i flashed gingerman
i have the android SDK tools though i can't manage to keep adb open as it keeps closing after 2 seconds
    any help with that?

  25. @Lalit Maganti Sorry I just saw your comment today, somehow missed it before. Will do that, although my current Stock Rom is doing perfectly well. Also can you please help me understand the numbering sceme, as in which of the ROMs in this list http://webftp.myppc.it/index.php?dir=Ideos/ROM/ is the latest updated build. I'm currently using U8150 V100R001C230B828SP02(Pakistan Ufone )
